animal musketeers dog and cat rescue

We are a group of like-minded individuals who have joined together to form a non-profit rescue for dogs and cats. We are passionate about caring for and finding loving homes for abandoned and unwanted animals.

We are a foster home-based rescue covering a 50-mile radius of The Wirral, which includes Liverpool, Chester and North Wales. We rely heavily on our volunteers and between us, we have many years of rescue experience.

Not every animal gets the life and the love it deserves. Some animals sadly lose a loving home when their owner’s circumstances change, or they sadly die. Our aim is to find loving homes for ALL of the animals that come into our care. For us, it's all about the animals.

county cat rescue & sanctuary

County Cat Rescue & Sanctuary is a not-for-profit cat shelter based on County Road in Liverpool. It is a cage-free rescue where cats are able to live in a home-like environment, leading them to gain confidence and then settle easier into their new homes.

We run a strict indoor only homing policy due to the ever growing numbers of accidents and cruelty on the streets. We have over 100 cats in our care, and as a sanctuary we are home to many senior cats and those on palliative care so they have a safe place to live out their lives.

tails animal welfare

Tails Animal Welfare is Liverpool’s newest non-profit animal rescue. We are a foster based rescue, supporting the needs of the communities in the Liverpool City Region. Our mission is to rescue, support and educate. The rescue was established early 2023 due to the increasing demand for rescue spaces and reduced support from large organisations for community neutering and TNR programmes.

All our costs are currently covered via fundraising and donations, along with the adoption fee which contributes to neutering, chip, flea worm treatments and vaccination costs.

Our ambition is to eventually have premises where we can help more animals in need, a forever home for those that may not be suitable for adoption and an educational community space.
